Golden Emeralds- A Holiday Look

image

The Holidays are in full force which means it’s party time! With office holiday parties and parties with friends and/or family now is a great time to add some sparkle to your look.  A holiday look can be no different from your go to, or your usual makeup look. It can be plain and simple or you can go all out if you like. You can never go wrong with a nice smoky eye or a neutral look for a holiday party especially if that’s your style.  But if you’re really into color, glitter, shimmer and all the other great things that make a festive makeup look, by all means work it!

This was a makeup look I did for a holiday party consisting of gold and green. Green and gold are great holiday colors and they look beautiful together on everyone. Gold adds the shimmer and the sparkle while a nice emerald or grassy green adds some depth and festivity  to the look. Gold is probably my favorite eye shadow color  just because you can go as bold or as subtle as you’d like and it’s pretty neutral and will go with just about any other color.

Look 3

Since I am on an Amber Lights kick I thought I might as well do a 3 ways post. Moving forward I figured I would do an eyeshadow series, 3 Ways to wear… of all my favorite eye shadows! I think it’s fun to see the different looks one can create with just one eyeshadow.

Are there any thoughts or any eye shadows you’re curious about or want to see in a look? Let me know and I’ll be happy to do so!

See another Amber Lights look and products I used here in a previous post!

Here’s a look using one of my first ever Mac eyeshadows purchased and one of my favorite shadows to this date: Amber Lights. I first bought this shade to wear to my High School Prom. I’ve been in love ever since. It’s such a gorgeous shade of burnt Orange with some gold. The texture is so smooth and pigmented with a frost finish.
