My New Way to Clean My Brushes

I have been out of a deep cleanser for a while. I just didn’t have the time or energy to go get some. Mostly cause I haven’t been on a shoot so I didn’t have a need to get some.

Anyhow I was in a pinch, got a call at the last minute and needed to clean my brushes ASAP! I didnt want to use dishwasher liquid because of the harsh ingredients. Didn’t want to use shampoo mostly cause its too expensive to use for brushes and I wasn’t sure how well that would work. So I had some of’s natural with lots of good oils for moisture. So I used it and omg! My brushes not only smell good, like peppermint, but they are really soft and it got all the good stuff out my brushes without much work. I was super impressed cause I always need to wash my lip brushes a few times with elbow grease to get all the lipstick out. I only washed it twice with this.

So I think this will be my go to brush cleaner for a while. It’s not expensive and can be found in drug stores and grocery stores. I got mine from Trader Joes.

How do you clean your brushes?

I read this on LadyRomp’s page, who always has very useful information for women. This is super important info seeing how Breast cancer (Cancer in general) is rising. Take care ladies!

At the recent American Association for Cancer Research annual meeting, new evidence highlighted the importance of cruciferous vegetables for breast cancer protection.

The cruciferous vegetable family:

  • Arugula

  • Bok choy

  • Broccoli

  • Broccoli rabe

  • Broccolini

  • Brussels sprouts

  • Cabbage

  • Cauliflower

  • Collards

  • Horseradish

  • Kale

  • Kohlrabi

  • Mustard greens

  • Radish

  • Red cabbage

  • Rutabaga

  • Turnips

  • Turnip greens

  • Watercress

The cruciferous family is unique among vegetables because of their glucosinolate content — glucosinolates give cruciferous vegetables their characteristic spicy or bitter tastes; when the plant cell walls are broken by blending, chopping, or chewing, an enzyme called myrosinase converts glucosinolates to isothiocyanates (ITCs) — compounds with potent anti-cancer effects, including:1

  • Anti-inflammatory effects — ITCs have been found to decrease…

Meet Dawn, 29, born and raised in Los Angeles, California

Dawn is a beauty blogger ( and knows all things make-up related. She shares for us, her beauty must haves and a few tips that she’s picked up along the way.

Who is your beauty inspiration?
I admire Janet Jackson for her beauty and style. For as long as I can remember I’ve been a huge fan. She’s so gorgeous and confident but so humble. They’re a lot of divas in the entertainment world and she doesn’t come off as one of them. I see her as a natural beauty and not one to go outrageous with her look. She can wear a bustier or a concealing sweater and look just as sexy.
What product could you not live without?
It would have to be lipstick.I’ve adored lipstick since I was 14 years old. They brighten you up and…
